MEMPOP hosted a book launch for Małgorzata Łukianow’s Memory in Postmigration Communities: Fields of Memory (Routledge, 2026) on 9 June. The book examines how communities shaped by large-scale population displacement negotiate coexisting — and often conflicting — memory narratives within shared local spaces, drawing on ethnographic fieldwork in Poland. The event featured a discussion with Diána Vonnák, and the research group engaged with the book’s conceptual and methodological contribution to the study of post-displacement heritage. The event was hybrid, attended by colleagues from Czechia and Poland.
