MEMPOP Presented During Visit of Czech President to the Institute of Ethnology

On 1 April, 2026, the President of the Czech Republic, Petr Pavel, visited the Institute of Ethnology as part of his meetings with centers of excellence within the Czech Academy of Sciences.

During the visit, our postdoctoral researcher Diána Vonnák, was part of the delegation welcoming the President. She presented the key research areas of the MEMPOP project, outlining its focus on the relationship between memory and populism across different European contexts.

The visit provided an opportunity to introduce the project’s work to a broader audience and to highlight the role of anthropological research in addressing contemporary social and political questions.
